Claude Code - Metatron Docs

Syntax verified against Claude Code’s official MCP documentation (code.claude.com/docs/en/mcp, retrieved 2026-10-10). End-to-end connection: NOT TESTED against the live site, because the site is not deployed yet.

Add the server

claude mcp add --transport http metatron-docs https://<DOCS_DOMAIN>/mcp

Or configure it in a project file

Add an entry to .mcp.json in the project root. The "type": "http" key is required for a remote URL. Without it, Claude Code treats the entry as a local server and skips it.

Verify

Start Claude Code in the project and run /mcp. The metatron-docs server should be listed as connected. Then ask Claude Code a question this documentation answers.

Troubleshooting

Listed but skipped: the entry has a url but no "type". Add "type": "http".
Connection refused or not found: the live domain is not deployed, or the path is wrong. The path must be /mcp.
