Add the server

The --transport http flag selects Streamable HTTP, which is the transport the docs-search MCP uses.

Verify

Start Gemini CLI and check that metatron-docs appears among the configured MCP servers. Then ask a question this documentation answers.

Troubleshooting

  • Wrong transport: if the command was entered without --transport http, remove the entry and add it again with the flag.
  • Connection fails: confirm the live domain and the /mcp path.

Remove the metatron-docs entry using the CLI’s MCP management commands, or edit the mcpServers object in settings.json.
